Past couple days have been bitter sweet. Last day of sitting in a classroom was last Friday. Since then it's been "Love you, see you later/september."
Didn't realize how hard it would be to leave Bethel on Friday. Over the course of a few days at the end of last week, I had to say goodbye to many people who would be dearly missed.
Visiting an array of high school friends, to cousins, to the most memorable and long over-due time was spent with Grandma Aakre. At 92, she's alive and kicking and we had a blast. Taking the time to have a nice tour of the assisted living in Hawley, MN, she bragged and bragged about her family and myself to her roommates in the home.
Other exciting times were spent with Brent, Leah, Adam, Shawna, Jessica and Kendra Aakre in Fargo on Saturday night. The Enns' were full of questions and excitement when we were together on Saturday.
Home finally and will take off Wed. March 21 for Germany.
Tonight two foreign exchange students in the Lac Qui Parle School system came out to the farm to share their homeland experiences and had many words of encouragement.
The times are getting exciting!
Osnabrueck, here we come.
